Victoria Park C.I. is celebrating 50 years! The reunion celebration will take place November 12 and 13, 2010, and will consist of a pub night, an assortment of open house activities at the school, and a gala dinner with live entertainment.

News

Aug 19: Register your guest names You can now input the names of the guests you bought tickets for. These names will be used to personalize your guests' e-tickets, and will appear on the Who's Coming page (shortly!). If you bought more than 1 ticket for any event, please register your guest names by signing in and going to My Event Guests.

Jun 10: Gala Seating requests We will now take Gala seating requests from ticket purchasers! You no longer have to buy tickets all at once in order to sit together. As a Gala ticket purchaser you can request seating by going to the Contact Us page, selecting "Gala seating request" in the drop-down list, and telling us the name of the ticket holder you wish to sit with. We will do our best to accomodate your request.

Debi Smith Bell (1973) remembers:
Hot pants, mini/midi/maxi skirts, playing guitar under the stairwell, art classes, wide "yellow" lockers, skipping English class, Yearbook, Lighthouse concert, Bruce Cockburn, Dan Hill(as a student), many musical productions, George Orr, Blake Heathcote, Craig Howes, Don Corbett, many other girls named "Debbie",drinking before the dance, cast parties...

Janice Carey (1970) remembers:
Bruce Cockburn visiting Dan Sherman's English class. Listening to Lenny Bruce albums and trying to define the meaning of obscenity. WHOA....THAT would not happen today.

Arvo Luik (1998) remembers:
1965 my first year teaching at VPSS. I still don't know how we all survived our ROOKIE YEARS. I signed on with the most progressive school board in Ontario and was totally ecstatic. Imagine a Phys ed co-ordinator to make your life simpler. How naive. A school of almost 2000 students and I think I was involved with all of them the first year...
